Legacy of Freedom Tour

Rev. Angela Pleasants invites all clergy and laity to join her on this educational and moving tour of landmark locations in the history of our civil rights movement.
3 Days: February 20 - 22, 2019

Day 1: Depart Gaston County for lunch at the Varsity in Atlanta. Spend the afternoon visiting the King Center, Dr. King's boyhood home, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and the tomb of Dr. and Mrs. King. Travel to Montgomery AL.
Day 2: Drive to Selma, AL, to visit the Edmund Pettis Bridge. The afternoon will be spent back in Montgomery at the Legacy Museum.
Day 3: Visit the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, and return home.
The trip is organized by the Gaston County YMCA and operated by Christian Tours. All registrations are handled through Christian Tours (1-800-476-3900).
